National Safety Council, its partners, and TechConnect will score all eligible submissions according to the following criteria:
- IMPACT (25 points)
How large of an impact could this technology have on fatigue in the workplace? - EVIDENCE (25 points)
Does the response provide engaging and compelling evidence of the effectiveness of the proposed technology? - TEAM (10 points)
Does the proposing team have the experience and skills to successfully commercialize the proposed technology? - INNOVATION (10 points)
Does the proposed technology include any novel performance or effectiveness compared to alternatives? - QUALITY (10 points)
Does the response clearly present relevant information about the proposed technology? - MATURITY (10 points)
Will the proposed technology be ready for pilot-scale evaluation by mid-2026? - ADOPTION (10 points)
How feasible is implementation at scale, considering cost, usability, workforce acceptance, and data/privacy safeguards?
Additional response guidance:
- Direct evidence of fatigue (e.g. measurements of physical biomarkers) and indirect evidence of fatigue (e.g. changes in reflex time or concentration) are both acceptable forms of evidence to support claims of efficacy.
- Respondents should identify at least one industry or occupation which would likely benefit from the deployment of the proposed technology.
