For the Safety Innovation Challenge: Workplace Fatigue, up to ten (10) semifinalists will showcase at the NSC Spring Safety Conference and Expo on May 7-8, 2026 in Baltimore, Maryland at the Baltimore Convention Center.
At the Conference, semifinalists will use booth space to demonstrate their proposed technologies and engage with safety officers and professionals from a broad swath of industries.
While onsite in Baltimore, reviewers will designate three finalists to pitch their solutions to the full conference audience for live voting, after which National Safety Council (NSC) will announce an overall winner.
The Challenge winner will receive a complementary one-year basic subscription to NSC’s TechHub Marketplace, a repository of safety related technologies where companies search for innovative new solutions for their organizations.
All semifinalists may apply for grants to fund pilot-scale implementations with third-party companies. Grant recipients can use up to $20,000 each to demonstrate the effectiveness of these proposed solutions in a workplace setting.
Following conference attendance, TechConnect will reimburse semifinalists $4,500 to offset costs associated with attending.
